The AIR Network
Cellular-grade security. Global reach. Zero monthly cost.
Named for air — always present, invisible, free. The AIR Network absorbs cellular data cost internally, removing the single greatest economic barrier to large-scale IoT.
Justworx AiR isn’t a technology. It’s a philosophy.
Power Up. You’re connected. Every time. Zero monthly costs.
It’s our ethos. And we live by it.
The problem
The Internet of Things never arrived.
The industry promised billions of connected sensors across agriculture, industry and infrastructure. Outside the smart home, that promise went unfulfilled — for four compounding reasons.
Smart home was the one place IoT worked — because the network was already there.
Wi-Fi already existed in every home, so a $10 smart bulb became viable. Step outside — a farm, a pipeline, a factory, a fleet — and that infrastructure simply isn't there, or using it is a security liability. That missing network is what Justworx built.
Zero-config connectivity
Power on anywhere. It's already connected.
Power on a Justworx device anywhere in the world and it automatically connects to the AIR Network — fully secured, no configuration required. From the moment it powers on it finds the network, joins it, and transmits — with no setup, provisioning or IT involvement.
Traffic is 100% secure, device to cloud.
The AIR Network
A network that builds itself.
Every device deployed extends Long-Range wireless coverage. When a Justworx device powers on, the onboard AI scans for the network and is given one task: if you can't find the network, become the network.
Enough Long-Range coverage exists
The device connects through the nearest gateway and operates as a network node.
No Long-Range coverage, or weak coverage
The device becomes a cellular gateway and extends the network for everything around it.
- Zero configPower on anywhere and it joins the network — no setup, no provisioning, no IT.
- Zero monthly costThe Justworx AIR Network absorbs cellular data cost — nothing per device or per month.
- Self-healingIf a gateway fails or moves, nodes re-evaluate and reroute automatically.
Network architecture
Four layers, device to cloud.
- Layer 1
Node → Node / Node → Gateway
A proprietary RF protocol on free-to-air, unlicensed sub-GHz spectrum — conceptually like LoRa or Sigfox, but our own stack. Long-range and low-power across open terrain.
- Layer 2
Gateway → Cloud (Cellular Uplink)
Gateways uplink over secure cellular on a private APN — traffic never touches the public internet at the carrier level. A VPN tunnel runs from SIM to cloud as an extra encrypted transport.
- Layer 3
Data Encryption
Every data payload is encrypted with AES-256 at the device, before it ever leaves — independent of whatever transport is carrying it.
- Layer 4
Hardware Identity (eFuse Keys)
Each node and gateway gets a unique key burned into an eFuse at manufacture — permanently inaccessible by any external mechanism.
Self-healing topology
The topology is always optimising.
On power-on, each device runs an AI-driven scan of the local wireless environment, mapping every gateway and deciding its role. That process is continuous — if a gateway fails or moves out of range, affected nodes re-evaluate and reroute automatically.
No site surveys. No pre-planned infrastructure. No specialist network engineering.
Coverage that grows with every device.
Every Justworx device you deploy extends the AIR Network and lowers the cost-per-node for everyone.
